Kate Gray Violin

Kate Gray grew up in Harpswell, Maine and has music degrees from Yale University (1986) and the University of Southern Maine (1994). She taught music in public and private schools in Waterville and Skowhegan, Maine, from 1994 to 2005, as well as private violin and viola lessons from 1994 to the present. She has performed with Bangor Symphony Orchestra, the Maine Music Society, the Maine Chamber Ensemble, the Maine State Ballet Orchestra, and the Midcoast Symphony Orchestra, as well as in many musical theater productions throughout southern Maine, for various churches, and at weddings and other events for 30 years. Since 2017, Kate has worked at the Bowdoinham Community School as a paraprofessional, providing classroom support in reading, writing, and math, and continues to teach private violin lessons at her home. She lives in Bowdoinham with her husband and teenage daughter and loves to play music of many genres for weddings and other special events
